Having spent 38 years as a Flight Engineer in the United States Marine Corps, and the United States Air Force, I have looked at the world from sea level and from above, in the light and in the darkness, in war and in peace. I have learned first hand how great achievements can be made through discipline, hard work, and sometimes, sacrifice. As a painter and a draftsman, I have parleyed these insights into a passion for creating highly refined realist drawings and paintings with as much detail, contrast, and emotional content as I am able to achieve. Realist art, for me, is a great opportunity and a great mystery. A great opportunity because it is so difficult, so demanding, and such a challenge to pull off. And a great mystery because when I do pull it off; it is rewarding beyond words.
What I am attempting to achieve through my art is also beyond words. That is why I pay close attention; draw it and paint it. So, I invite you to look, and I hope you may appreciate the remnants of my explorations as much as I appreciate the process.
